About The Rocks In Portugal

No this blog is about me and beautiful wife and our life here in Portugal, a beautiful country as one can see from the picture above.

How come the name Rocks in Portugal then?

Well thats easy as my wife and I decided when we married rather than take either family name we would choose our own name and Mr and Mrs Rocks we thought was kind of funky.

We live in Central Portugal and live with our two race horses, two dogs and two cats. We are not planning on any more though. This blog will of course contain posts regarding the animals to which we hope you will find entertaining. 

We are planning to move soon and hopefully our new place will allow us to become more or less self-sufficient and of course, there will be posts about that. 

Portugal we have found to not only be the most beautiful place but the people as well are wonderful. As a clue. Here in Portugal contents insurance for your house is more or less hardly used. Their belief is that if you are unlucky enough to be burgled then your neighbours will all chip in to restore your goods. We have food left at our gate for us to enjoy and lastly rather than staying in and watching TV people go out and socialise. A right good way to life...
